Hand-wash with mild soap — dishwashers and harsh scrubbing will gradually dull the gold embossing. Do not use it in a microwave as the gold embossing can cause sparking. The ceramic body is durable for daily use — hand-washing is simply to preserve the gold decoration's appearance over time. Minor variations in the gold embossing are normal and a characteristic of handcrafted production.
